FLYT Take Off - Sprint Triathlon 8 wks

This plan is for athletes who have little experience with triathlon (we can switch out the beginner plan for those who have more experience). The plan assumes athletes have some base fitness and can swim, bike, and run. Weekly volume starts at 4.5 hours with two swim workouts (a 3rd optional), three bike workouts, three run workouts, and two strength workouts. It peaks at just under nine hours with 2-3 swims, three bikes, four runs, and two strength workouts. There is an optional rest day every week as well as a suggestion for bodywork such as stretching, foam rolling or massage. There is a recovery week every fourth week. Most of the workouts in this plan are prescribed at an aerobic effort with some tempo efforts.
